Hats for Homeless Vets
When the weather turns cold and miserable for those living on the streets, knitted and crocheted hats and scarves are valuable to the homeless vets.
Anyone caring to knit crochet these garments are greatly appreciated. My daughter, Joan, works at McClellan in the hygiene department and will deliver the garments to the person in charge. We will collect any garments you would like to make, or you may drop them off at the OC lodge sewing room or our home at 2570 Fountain Hill Ct. Shirli Lent tells me she has some yarn that may be used for this project as well. Anything that you make should be in dark colors as they do not have much in the way of laundry facilities.
Thank you so much for anything you can contribute.
