2025 General Meeting Schedule
The following meetings will be held in the Kilaga Springs Presentation Hall, beginning at 1 pm. All Needle Arts attendees are invited to share their projects during "Show and Tell" portion of the program after the completion of the speaker.
January 14, 2025, General MeetingTammy Flynn will be the speaker for the January 14, 2025, Meeting. She is the owner of Lincoln's Hometown Quilt Shop, Sew Katie Jean.
Sew Katie Jean is located in the charming downtown of Lincoln. Tammy will share the latest fabrics and trims for all your sewing projects. There are on-site classes offered for beginners to advanced quilters - find out which one could be right for you. |
February 11, 2025, General Meeting
Jean Cross (shown below) is the February 2025 speaker and will present “A Practical Artist.” She began her own custom art business in 1979 creating fabric wall hangings for churches, homes and businesses all over the US and 5 other countries. Jean’s love of sewing began in the Brownies at age of 9 and continues to today. She has been a member of the Sew What Wearable Art Group for 14 years. Jean enjoys creating unique and creative garments and recreating new garments out of previous projects or left over fabric.
In 2001 Jean was the first woman sculptor hired at Gladding McBean Clay products in Lincoln, CA and worked on pieces of architectural terra cotta for buildings all over the United States. She was a partner at The Place! Gallery in Lincoln and has done interior decoration for many homes, 6 murals in the Downtown Lincoln Art Walk and murals and the decor at Buonarroti’s Ristorante in Lincoln. Jean was a founding member of the Art League of Lincoln serving 7 years on the board as Vice President and President.
