Welcome to Sun City Lincoln Hills Needle Arts… aka SCLHNA
Our Needle Arts group is a thriving community of friendly residents, who have a passion for many different types of needle arts. These include quilting, knitting, crocheting, appliqué, embroidery, needle point, cross stitch, and even spinning and weaving! Our members enjoy meeting together to work on their own projects and share their knowledge and skills with others in the group. There is so much creativity and talent among our members, and one of the greatest benefits of joining Needle Arts is to be able to tap into new ideas, techniques, and knowledge that our members share. They are always eager to welcome new members! Come give us a try!
Needle Arts Membership is just $20 for the year, Membership forms can be found in the sewing room at Orchard Creek Lodge, or accessed at SCLHNA.com under the membership tab. Membership includes access to all that Needle Arts has to offer including:
General Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the Month 1-3pm Presentation Hall at Kilaga Springs Lodge during January, February, March, April, June, September, October, and November. Meetings include Needle Arts updates, inspirational speakers, and time for show and tell.
Weekly/Monthly Break-Out Groups - Seven separate groups meet regularly including Mixed Needles (open to any type of needle arts), Quilting, Community Service, Knitting/Crocheting, Needlepoint/Cross Stitch, Machine Embroidery, and Appliqué.
Workshops, Demonstrations, Classes. Many planned learning opportunities take place in our sewing room throughout the year.
Retreats. Usually, there are two to three in-house retreats (sewing room), and two retreats at Mercy Retreat and Conference Center (Auburn), per year.
Biannual luncheons: they are held in May and December.

2024 promises to be an exciting year for Needle Arts! Please join us for all the fun! We always welcome new ideas and love volunteers. Whether you enjoy teaching, mentoring, sharing a new tool or technique, chairing a committee, or helping with a one-time project, we appreciate your contribution!
